Scheduled Downtime Aug. 16

Please be advised that Banner will be unavailable on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12:00 midnight to 10:00 a.m. to implement critical upgrades required for Financial Aid processing.

The following Banner services will be affected:

  • Leo Online will be inaccessible.
  • Banner Admin Forms will be unavailable.
  • Registration activities will be temporarily suspended.
  • Nightly scheduled processes in and out of Banner will not run.
  • DegreeWorks will remain accessible, but data will reflect the last refresh prior to the outage.
  • Touchnet will be unavailable to process payments.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these necessary updates to ensure continued system stability and compliance.

You must be connected to the ODU network or VPN for this service to function properly.

Banner is the university's centralized academic and administrative records system that allows users to view and work with university data. Access the system through any modern web browser.

Because we value university data, we only grant Banner access to individuals whose jobs require it, and only at a level necessary to perform their job functions.

When you are finished with a Banner session, make sure you properly log out. Logging out of a web-authenticated service is not guaranteed until you properly exit the browser window. To log out, please ensure your browser is 'Closed' (Windows) or 'Quit' (Apple).
