Directed by Kate Clemons

In a world of cubicles and code, fate still pulls the strings—literally.

Banished to a modern office tower after angering Zeus, the ancient Greek Fates now work in secret among mortals, spinning, measuring, and snipping the threads of life one by one, weaving the infinite tapestry of humanity.

Atropos, the by-the-book sister who cuts each thread at its destined end, takes pride in her precision—until a chance encounter with a kind-hearted security guard unravels her perfectly ordered world. As romantic sparks fly, the rules of the Universe fray, and her bond with her sisters pulls apart at the seams.

Smart, whimsical, and pulsing with heart, String is a contemporary musical that weaves myth, romance, and sisterhood into a tale about love, control, and what happens when the balance of the universe hangs by a single thread.

The Sewing Group
Sewing Group

April 9-11 and 16 & 17 | 7:30 p.m.
April 18 & 19 | 2:00 p.m.

Written by E. V. Crowe
Directed by Melissa Mowry
Goode Theatre

In a quiet, rural village untouched by time, a group of women gathers each day to sew. But when a new arrival joins their ranks, her presence begins to unravel the threads of their world — revealing hidden structures, unsettling truths, and a reality far more complex than it first appears. Penning anything but a conventional historical drama, playwright E.V. Crowe strings together disconcerting scenes to explore the effect of technology on humanity.. Blending razor-sharp dialogue with a chilling undercurrent of mystery, The Sewing Group is a bold, genre-defying play that probes the cost of progress and the illusion of choice in a world built on surveillance and control.

Nothing is quite what it seems — and once the stitch is pulled, everything could come apart.
