World Space Week
At ODU’s Lê Planetarium

 As we gear up for World Space Week, the Lê Planetarium has planned a series of events themed around ASTEROIDS. World Space Week is an annual holiday observed from October 4 to 10 in over 95 nations throughout the world and is "an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition". World Space Week is the largest annual space event in the world. In 2019, World Space Week was celebrated with over 8,000 events in 96 countries.

 

World Space Week activities at the Lê Planetarium:
October 1 – Planetarium Show, 7:00 pm, $4 – Firefall
October 3 – Bad Movie Night, 6:30 pm, $4 – Meteor (1979)
October 8 – Planetarium Show, 7:00 pm, $4 – Killer Asteroids with NASA Solar System Ambassador, Jason Fite
October 9 – Movie Night, 7:00 pm, FREE! – NASA Documentary Planetary Defenders
